FOOTAGE of Dumbarton during the 1960s has been released online, showcasing what the town was like more than half a century ago.
The half an hour clip entitled "Dumbarton 1963-1966" was uploaded by YouTuber "Footage Dumbarton" to the popular media streaming channel.
Throughout the silent movie there are moving images of the old town, from Park Crescent to Townend Road to the town centre.
Comments left underneath the video show there are plenty of expats who were delighted to see their home town again.
One comment said: "Thanks for providing a picture of my old home. We left High Street in 1967 to go to New Zealand, and here I am nearly 50 years later finding a picture of my old backyard."
Another said: "Thanks for sharing. Brings back some vague memories from childhood."
