A COMMUNITY food bank is celebrating after taking delivery of an electric delivery van.
Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels (OKFP) got its hands on the vehicle on February 4 after receiving funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The white van is adorned with the charity’s rainbow logo and contact details.
Taking to Facebook, the team of volunteers described it as “a very proud day for OKFP”.
The van’s arrival put a smile back on the faces of the project’s volunteers after storm damage forced them to suspend public access to their base in the village’s Gavinburn Business Park.
The project provides food parcels for residents in need in Bowling and Old Kilpatrick and as far afield as Dalmuir.
