SCOTTISH SPCA Dumbarton received a surprise donation of £2,000 over Valentine’s weekend.
The local animal care centre received the money from Support Adoption For Pets, a grant-giving animal charity started by Pets at Home.
Funds were given in order to recognise the tireless efforts and hard work of the workers at the Dumbarton centre since the beginning of the pandemic.
Scottish SPCA Dunbartonshire and south west Scotland centre manager, Judy Button, said: “Our centre is not getting as many donations as it would normally due to it not being open to the public, so this will be a big help.
“This money will specifically help the cats in our care, as we have a lot with specialist diets which can be very expensive.”
