Two people are in a serious condition after a crash involving two vans and a car on the A811. 

Police in Dumbarton are appealing for any information after officers were called to the incident involding two Ford Transit vans and a Toyota Rav4 on the road near to Garotcharn last Thursday afternoon shortly after 3pm.

A 58-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman from one of the Transit vans were taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital were they are being treated for their injuries.

Hospital staff describe their condition as serious.

Sergeant Kevin Craig of the Road Policing Unit based at Dumbarton said:  “Our investigation into the cause of this crash is continuing.  

"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash, who has not yet spoken to police to come forward. 

"I would also like to hear from anyone driving on the A811 near Gartocharn around the time of the crash who has dash-cam footage.

“I would ask anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 1732 of 25 February.”

The driver of the other Transit van and the RAV4 did not require medical treatment.
