HAVE you always wanted to know how popular your name is in Scotland?
A new tool created by National Records of Scotland (NRS), the department of the Scottish Government responsible for carrying out the country's census, shows just how popular each name is and has been over the years.
Search for your name here for 2020:
In 2020, Jack remained the most popular boy's name, holding on to the top spot for the 13th consecutive year, while Noah is now the second most popular boy's name, having jumped from seventh place last year. James stays in third place.
Isla overtook Olivia as the top name for baby girls for the first time, with Olivia taking the second spot and Emily now being the third most popular name.
Children nowadays are much less likely to share a name with classmates than their grandparents were.
You can check out your name over the years at the NRS tracker here.
