A BONHILL woman has gone viral after sharing videos of her fun-loving canine companion on TikTok.

Kiera McDiarmid began posting clips of her three-year-old border collie, Blue, during the first lockdown last year.

One video showed the excited pooch hurtling into the water at Loch Lomond.

To Kiera’s surprise, it has since racked up more than 200,000 likes and more than 1,800 comments on the social media platform.

She said: “I started making TikToks during the first lockdown last year when it was starting to grow in popularity.

“Blue has loved the water ever since he was a puppy and I didn’t really think much of it.

“Any walk that we go on needs to have water nearby so he can run into it.

“We usually go to Cameron House or Duck Bay for that reason.

“I had the video of him leaping into the water already saved in my phone and one day I just thought I would post it for a laugh.

“It just blew up, it was mad. It’s got more than 200,000 likes and more than 1,800 comments.”

Kiera said the clip generated lots of laughter from amused TikTok users.

She added: “A lot of people were commenting saying they were convinced he had walked on water.

“They were joking that I should call him Jesus and Blur, and lots of other funny names.

“They were comparing him running into the water to everyone running to the pub when the Covid restrictions ease. Everybody was loving it.

“My favourite part about TikTok is the dog content, it always cheers you up and gives you a laugh.”

The coronavirus pandemic has presented lots of challenges - but it gave Blue lots of quality time with his loving owner.

Kiera explained: “He normally goes to work with my partner because he has his own business doing gardening.

“But I’ve been off work for a couple of months now and he’s been loving having me at home every day.

“We go out for hours at a time which he isn’t used to.

“Blue a really smart boy, he loves his ball and is very playful. He is very hyperactive and constantly wants to engage with people.”
