Over the last year or so, we’ve all spent a lot more time at home. And when you are stuck in the house, it is only natural to look around your surroundings and notice things that you want to change or improve. If you feel like your flooring needs a makeover, then why not take your custom to a reliable local business?

That’s exactly what’s on offer with Innovation Flooring Scotland, run by local man David Woodcock.

Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter:

“I’m Clydebank born and bred,” he explains, “I’ve lived here my whole life and my family have been here for generations.”

As soon as he left school, David took an apprenticeship in carpet fitting and then worked for various national flooring retailers.

“I then started doing supplying and fitting, then selling carpets from the back of my van. But I saw an opportunity to start my own business. I saw how much people were getting charged by these shops and I knew that I could do better.

“What I can offer is a high-end product but for a low price. Every carpet retailer will be selling the same carpets and the same flooring, but I can offer it at a better price because I have smaller overheads.

“I’ve got hundreds of products that range from carpets to laminates, vinyl to artificial grass, and we are open to both the public and trade customers.”

Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter:

At their showroom and warehouse in South Elgin Place, just off Glasgow Road, Innovation Flooring have an array of flooring options for customers to choose from.

You can take your chosen item away the same day or arrange to have it fitted for you at your home, with fittings being done within the week.

And what makes Innovation Flooring Scotland different is that everyone who works in the showroom is also a fully-qualified flooring fitter, meaning that you are being advised by experts in their field.

Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter:

“We don’t have any ‘sales’ staff to speak of, so we can give you the best advice because we have been doing it hands on for years. “My team and I are not just trying to make a sale,  we are genuinely trying to get our customers the best outcome.

“I would rather give them the best advice and lose a sale, than give people bad advice just for the sake of making money.

“The people of Clydebank have been good to me, so I would like to be good to them in return. I guarantee to beat any price on a like-for-like product.

“I would encourage everybody to shop local where they can because it really does mean a lot.”
