A POPULAR Dumbarton restaurant and takeaway will go under the hammer at an online auction this month - but you'll need fairly deep pockets if you fancy being the new landlord.
The Black Rooster Peri Peri Chicken restaurant and takeway at Milton, on the eastbound A82, survived the lockdown by offering delivery options to local residents, and has now reopened for indor dining as lockdown restrictions eased.
The restaurant has a 15-year lease in place - but the ownership of the building, which opened as a Black Rooster in September 2020 and was formally the Stonefield Hotel, is now up for grabs.
Future Property Auctions has set a guide price of £575,000 on the property - but with Black Rooster paying an annual rent of £52,500, and the potential for that to rise to £62,500 per annum, the opportunity is there for a substantial return if the lease runs for its full 15-year term.
