AN EMERGENCY aid charity has announced details of its plan to give out free food to children in Dumbarton and the Vale during the summer holidays.
West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare’s Brunch Bag Project is aimed at low-income families who will struggle to cover the cost of the additional meals.
The bags will contain items such as bread, cold meat, fruit, yoghurts, juice, crisps, and biscuits.
Parents and carers wishing to sign their child up to the scheme is asked to contact the team on 01389 764135 between Tuesday and Friday, 10am to 4pm.
The Foodshare previously ran a five day version of the programme during the October holidays last year.
