A children's playpark in Dumbarton was targeted by firebugs days before the schools broke out for summer holidays.
The incident was reported to police shortly before 5am on Saturday, June 19 at the play area on Millburn Crescent in Silverton.
Over the last five years, the park has benefitted from a share of £3 million investment to improve play areas in the local authority.
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.

Inspector Mo Boyle of Dumbarton police station said: “Officers are continuing enquiries and appealing for witnesses following a fire at the playpark in Millburn Crescent, Dumbarton which was reported at about 4.55am on Saturday, June 19.”
The fire has caused extensive damage to the park.
In 2016, the West Dunbartonshire Council invested over £3million in developing new play parks for young people across Dumbarton and the Vale to enjoy.
The park in Silverton was one of 23 facilities across the region to benefit from the cash injection five years ago aimed at providing challenging, safe and stimulating outdoor areas for children to aid their development.
