A POPULAR Balloch visitor attraction was targeted by scammers last week after staff organised an online giveaway.
The Loch Lomond Sea Life Centre gave people the chance to win a free family pass via the Facebook competition to celebrate the launch of its new Octonauts event.
However, someone set up a fake account in the name of the centre at Loch Lomond Shores, and started messaging entrants to tell them they had won.
The message then asked that the “winner” share their bank details with them in order to claim the prize.
After discovering the scam, the aquarium took to social media to urge their followers to ignore and block fake accounts immediately.
