A 12-year-old girl missing from her home in the Vale of Leven has been found safe and well in Edinburgh, say police.
Katie McAleaney was last seen in her home in Alexandria at around 9pm on Tuesday June 29.
After carrying out enquiries police discovered she had travelled by train to Edinburgh Waverley, where she was seen on CCTV footage on Wednesday morning.
It was thought she may have travelled on, possibly by train, to the Cowdenbeath area later that day.
Police announced on Thursday night that Katie had been located safe and well in Edinburgh.
They said: "The media and members of the public are thanked for their assistance with this matter."
