THREE cars belonging to West Dunbartonshire Council were set on fire in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police are investigating the incident, which happened at 12.45am on July 19 in the rear car park of the local authority's social work offices in Bridge Street, Dumbarton.

Detectives are working to establish a motive for the attack and are appealing for information.

A council spokeswoman said: “We are aware of the incident and Police Scotland are investigating and we are supporting them with their enquiries.”
