DUMBARTON’S only rum distillery has completed the painting of a brand new mural which celebrates the area.
IslandSlice Ltd owner Sylvester Herman commissioned the artwork to be made on the wall of its Dalreoch Court distillery by Erskine born artist Steven Blackmore.
The “Welcome to Rumbarton” mural was created in a bid to attract more people to both the distillery and to the wider area.
Sylvester said: “I thought “there’s nothing dumb about Dumbarton”. So I decided to go with Rumbarton - population one, main extract rum.
“Steve’s artwork is phenomenal and I decided he’s my guy.
“I want to entice visitors to the town.
"I need to find a way to get those drivers off the A82 to take a cool picture with Rumbarton.”
