A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted at a railway station in Dumbarton.

At around 9.30pm on Monday August 23, the victim was approached by a man on platform two of Dalreoch station.

According to police, the man engaged in a conversation with her and sexually assaulted her.

He is described as a white, bald, six-foot man of slim build, with a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

He was wearing a dark top with jeans which had a white design on the rear pockets.

After the incident, the victim left the station and approached two women who helped her get home.

Officers are keen to speak to these women and are appealing for them to come forward to assist their enquiries.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses of the incident.
