POLICE investigating the attempted robbery of a woman in Easterhouse have released an e-fit image of a man they believe could be key to their probe. 

A woman was nearly mugged in Easterhouse Road, close to its junction with Aberdalgie Road at around 9.25am on Monday, June 21 this year.

Officers investigating the failed robbery bid have now issued a computer-generated image of a man they believe could hold vital clues in their search to bring the person responsible to justice. 

The man shown in the image is described as white, around 40-years-old, five feet and five inches tall, of a slim build, with short blond hair and facial hair.

He spoke with an Ayrshire accent and was wearing black trousers, a black hooded jumper and black trainers.

Detective Constable Poppy Stewart said: “We’re asking anyone with information which could help us identify this man to please come forward. We believe he may hold information which could assist our investigation.”
