Police say 79-year-old James Douglas has been found safe and well
An elderly man from Renton who was reported missing on Wednesday has been found safe and well, say police.
James Douglas, 79, was last seen at a bar on Alexandria's Main Street around 1pm on September 8.
Issuing an appeal for information on Wednesday night, police asked members of the public to contact officers if they saw anyone matching Mr Douglas's description.
On Thursday morning a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm that James Douglas, 79, who had been reported missing from the Renton area on Wednesday, September 8, has been traced safe and well.
"Thank you to everyone who helped with our earlier appeal for information."
