Amey says the the work will benefit around 8,000 vehicles using this route each day by increasing road quality, improving the reliability of journey times and reducing the need for future maintenance.
A total of £900,000 is being spent on the two phases of the work.
Road workers will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s Covid-19 guidance.
