A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a car was allegedly driven at two teenage boys in Dumbarton.
Kevin Connolly is accused of attempting to murder the two boys by injuring them both, one of them severely, putting both their lives in danger.
The 40-year-old, from Dumbarton, appeared in private at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on September 16.
He made no plea or declaration.
Mr Connolly was committed for further examination, and was released on bail.
His court appearance follows an incident in which two boys, both aged 15, were reportedly hit by a car at around 9.10pm on Sunday, September 12, while they were standing at the entrance to Castlehill Park, off the town's Castlehill Road.
Police said one of the boys was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment to a serious foot injury. The other boy suffered a knee injury.
