A WEST Dunbartonshire woman is preparing to do a bungee jump from a 40 metre high bridge in Perthshire to say thanks to a food bank that supported her during the pandemic.
Michaela Burns will take on the Highland Fling – a permanent attraction that sees thrill seekers leap off the River Garry Bridge in Killiecrankie – on Sunday, October 24.
She is taking on the high-octane feat to raise money for community group Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels.
Michaela said: “This charity is very close to my heart because it has been a massive lifeline over lockdown.
“It’s given me a place to go, a place I have been accepted, welcomed in and found a sense of belonging.
“This is my way of giving back.”
Michaela’s online fundraiser has so far raised more than £700.
