TWO men were taken to hospital on Sunday after allegedly being attacked on the head and body with weapons.

Police were called to the Dennystoun Forge area of Dumbarton after the reported incident around 5pm on October 10.

A 25-year-old man was said to have been struck to the head, body and hand with weapons and was taken to hospital. After receiving stitches, he was later released.

A 23-year-old man remains in hospital today awaiting surgery for non-life-threatening injuries after also being struck to the head and body, report police.

A 25-year-old woman and 68-year-old man both allegedly had their vehicles vandalised in the incident.

Three men - aged 19, 37 and 38 - have been arrested and are due to appear in court this week charged in connection with the alleged assaults.
