A Dumbarton woman was left horrified after a man she agreed to go on a date with threatened to sexually assault her.
The Daily Record reported how Becca McFarlane, 27, received a message from a man on Instagram telling her if she came near him wearing the outfit she had on in her Instagram pictures, he would rape her.
The message read: "I've thought about you when w****** lol put it this way see if you came anywhere near me with that outfit you wore with the skirt and stockings you'd be getting raped."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are investigating a report of threatening communications via social media which was reported to police in Dumbarton on Monday, November 1, 2021.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
