DETAILS of a new Christmas festival at Loch Lomond Shores have been announced - with street food stalls, children's rides, live entertainment and, of course, Santa Claus himself set to come to the bonnie banks.

The free outdoor event, which will run over the weekend of December 4 and 5, will be protected from the winter weather by a covered marquee and visitors will also be able to enjoy a festive lights 'selfie trail'.

Bookings will be available shortly on the Loch Lomond Shores website at www.lochlomondshores.com.

Audrey Calder from Loch Lomond Shores said: “We’re really excited to host this new festival and create an amazing festive experience for our visitors.

"The festival combines all the great things on offer at our food festivals but adds some festive magic for children as well as some weather proofing to make it comfortable for all our festival goers,

“We’ll be welcoming back some popular street food providers, all our regular market stalls and more as well as live entertainment for kids and a selection of rides for small children.

"Santa will also be weather-proofed under cover in our playpark to make sure everyone has an amazing and cosy Santa experience.

“We’re also really excited to showcase our new festive lights which allow visitors to interact safely with the displays and capture some amazing festive memories. These lights will be on from November 20 right through until New Year.”

The festival will take place on December 4 and 5 and will be open both days from 10am to 6pm.
