The countdown is on as an up-and-coming band from Dumbarton and the Vale gets ready to release their debut album.

Red Hearted Vibrations' Storms on the Wildfire Mountain is set to be released on Thursday.

The musicians told the Reporter they are “very proud’ of the final product

They added: “We're very excited about the album launch.

"It's been an exciting process over the last four years and it's captured different periods in our lives."

The pop and rock group is made up of two sets of siblings - Laura and Steven Nelson who are on vocals and drums, and Craig and Graham White, who play guitar.

Completing the quintet, also on guitar, is Ewan Driver.

The musicians describe themselves as "the biggest mismatch of people, with all different musical influences has made for the greatest local band coming together to create beautiful sounds”.

The five-piece write their own tunes and can put their hands to any genre including pop, 70s, rock, disco, and trance.

Previously the local group has played at the iconic Glasgow King Tuts as well as performing up and down the UK on the festival circuit.

The forthcoming album launch is on Thursdya, November 18 at Ivory Blacks in Glasgow's Oswald Street.

Tickets to the event plus information on the new record can be found on the group's Facebook page.
