Youngsters in Dumbarton and the Vale enjoyed a “magical” day on the search for Santa’s elves in Cardross at the weekend.

Monty’s Farm on the Ardardan Estate held their Elfy-Good event for the kids to go on a quest to find elf scrolls hidden in trees around the park.

They even got the opportunity to catch a glimpse into the little creatures’ homes, which were dotted around the green space .

Organiser Sue said: “It was a simple idea, but it was really fun for the families who came.

“The weather certainly didn’t put a damper on the occasion as everyone got into the swing of Christmas.”

Attendees were invited to the indoor play area to round the day off with some fun activities in the warmth of the farm park.

To ensure everyone followed current restrictions amid rising Covid cases the team managed the day by having time slots to prevent queuing and a tractor leaving every half an hour.

The day was topped off with a reindeer food making session and a ‘make a wish’ activity.

The staff let their imaginations run wild in the run up to Christmas as many of them are parents and grandparents themselves which means that the day was designed as if would be for their own family.plenty of outdoor fun, animals, and a “super unique” special wooden indoor adventure and roleplay barn. The centre is open all year round.
