An Alexandria family welcomed one of Scotland's first Christmas babies yesterday.

Emma Geary, 20, and her partner Ben Fox, were celebrating the arrival into the world of Oliver Fox early Christmas morning. He was born at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley at 12.45am weighing 7lbs 3oz.

“We are over the moon to have our wee Christmas present," said Emma. "He is perfect and the best present we could have asked for. We honestly can't wait to see who he becomes. We love you so much Ollie.”

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and mum are both doing well.

And staff at the RAH said they were delighted to help Santa with the very special delivery.

Congratulations from the Reporter and on behalf of our readers. Welcome Ollie!
