TEN fund-raisers in fancy dress took part in an annual charity event on Loch Lomond on New Year’s Day.
Members and friends of Loch Lomond Waterski Club took to the chilly waters of the loch on Saturday to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
The good cause was chosen as this year’s beneficiary after three former committee members of the club passed away from cancer within the last 18 months.
Organisers said they were “very pleased with the turnout both of skiers and spectators – especially in view of Covid”, and more than £500 was donated on the day with the total expected to top £1,000 once counting is complete in a few weeks.
Four new skiers got involved in the fun this time round - and the award for best costume was given to David Cavana, who dressed up as a Rocket Man.
The club expressed its thanks to Cameron House Marina, the Boat House restaurant, Loch Lomond Seaplanes, Inchmurrin Island Lodges, and the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat for their support.
