A SEARCH has been launched for the people who helped after a youngster suffered a skateboarding accident near Loch Lomond.

A family came to the aid of a boy named Finlay at Loch Lomond Sea Life Centre on Tuesday when the youngster got into the accident.

The family waited and looked after Finlay until his dad, Ewan Williamson, arrived.

Finlay and Ewan are now looking to say a huge thank you to them with Loch Lomond Shores at hand to help.

On their official Facebook page Loch Lomond Shores said: "We would like to put a call out to say a HUGE THANK YOU from Finlay & his dad, Ewan Williamson to a family who came to Finlay's assistance at Loch Lomond Shores yesterday when he had a bad skateboarding accident close to the Loch Lomond Sea Life Centre.

"They were extremely grateful to you for looking after him until his dad got there, so if you are that family or you know who they are, can you let us know so we can pass on Ewan & Finlay's message?"

If you know the family that helped Finlay message Loch Lomond Shores Facebook page, so they can pass on the message.
