Co-op staff were able to spread some Christmas joy this festive season to Dumbarton District Women’s Aid in Alexandria.
The charity offers care and support to women and children fleeing domestic violence, and an abundance of gift wrapped toys, sweets and gifts were provided for the women and children seeking refuge over the festive season to open on Christmas Day.
The staff at the refuge were overwhelmed by the gesture which they said would brighten the spirits of those staying with them over Christmas.
This was made possible thanks to generous donations received from the Co-operative Food stores in Balloch, Cardross and Helensburgh.
Colleagues from Co-op Funeralcare made the delivery on behalf of their food colleagues just in time for Christmas.
