THE stunning Aurora Borealis graced the night sky over Loch Lomond at the weekend - and one lucky photographer was there to capture the sight in all its glory on camera.
Gerry Doherty watched on through the lens at around 10.30pm on Saturday as the Northern Lights lit up the loch and Ben Lomond - before sharing the results on social media the next day.
Using the online site Glendale App, which alerts users to potential Aurora sightings in their area, Gerry made sure he was in the right place at the right time to enjoy one of nature's most thrilling phenomena.
