Police in Alexandria are appealing for assistance to help trace a 36-year-old man who has been reported missing.

George Walker was last seen by a friend when he left The Burgh Bar, High Street, Dumbarton, at around midnight on Friday, February 25.

George has not been in touch with friends or family since then, and concerns are growing for his welfare.

He is described as around 6ft tall, with long brown hair and blue eyes.

When last seen, he was wearing a jumper with blue, green and white horizontal stripes, a green parka-style jacket, blue jeans and grey trainers.

Inspector Alistair Reid, from Dumbarton police station, said: "It is completely out of character for George not be in touch with his family or friends and he has never gone missing before.

"He is usually in daily contact with his father but hasn't been in touch with him since Friday.

"George's family are extremely worried and just want to know that he is safe.

"We are also becoming increasingly concerned.

"Extensive searches and enquiries have been carried out throughout the local area in an effort to trace George.

"If anyone has seen George, or has any information as to his whereabouts, please contact police as a matter of urgency.

"Please think back, have you noticed anyone matching his description?

"If you have, or have any information which could assist with our enquiries, please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0597 of Tuesday, 1 March, 2022."
