OPEN water swimmers will have a chance to take a dip in Loch Lomond and raise money for a great cause this weekend - but you'll have to be quick to register to take part.

The inaugural Spring Swim at Loch Lomond Shores takes place this Sunday, March 20 - but the deadline for registering to participate is today (Friday, March 18).

Originally due to be held on January 2, the event was postponed because of the restrictions which were put in place over New Year to curb the spread of the Omicron variant of Covid.

The cost is £20 per swimmer (over-18s only) and all proceeds after the costs of holding the event are met will be donated to the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat.

Swimmers will set off in groups from 10am until 1.30pm.
