Drivers in Dumbarton and the Vale are being warned that the A82 southbound will be closed overnight for four days next week.

The stretch of road between Stoneymollan Roundabout and Renton southbound on-slip will be closed from Monday, May 9 until Thursday, May 12 between 8pm and 6am.

Trunk road maintenance firm Amey confirmed that diverted traffic will exit the A82 at Stoneymollan Roundabout to join the A811 Lomond Road.

Vehicles will continue along the A811 to the roundabout with the A813 where they will turn right and then continue on the A813 to Lomondgate Roundabout, where they will re-join the A82.

The firm said that this will allow essential maintenance work to be carried out, but access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained during the works.

Amey says the work is weather dependent, and "may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable".
