Dumbarton will begin their new season with a tough set of fixtures following the draw for the 2022/23 SPFL Premier Sports Cup.
The Sons were dropped in Group A alongside Premier League side Aberdeen, Championship team Raith Rovers, last season's foes Peterhead and fellow League Two side Stirling Albion.
The group stage fixtures are set to be played across July, with the first round of matches planned for July 9/10.
And they will provide a welcome chance for manager Stevie Farrell to cast an eye over his new squad as they prepare to mount a League Two promotion push following last season's relegation from League One.
On Tuesday, defender Martin McNiff returned to The Rock from group rivals Stirling Albion following spells with the Binos, Annan and Clyde.
And gaffer Faz will be looking to add more names following last months play-off defeat to Edinburgh City.
Full fixture details will be confirmed at a later date.
