DREAMS came true for a Dumbarton girl recently after she jetted out to the bright lights of Los Angeles in the trip of a lifetime.

Rosie Mae Tiffoney flew out to the USA, courtesy of American singer-songwriter Jax, her musical idol.

The eight-year-old was joined by mum, Kimberley Bullion, friend Macie McAllister and Natalie Mcfarlane, for the unforgettable trip, during which she got to hang out with the pop star.

Speaking to the Reporter, Rosie, eight, said: “It’s like a dream come true. I’ve never been to the USA before so that’s the longest plane journey ever.

The Reporter previously revealed how Jax spotted a TikTok video of Rosie singing the star’s song, Victoria’s Secret, during a summer camp at Louise and Des McFarlane’s Singer Station School of Music.

Jax shared the clip of Rosie performing her song on TikTok, commenting “HOLY CUTENESS! Go rockstar GO!!!”and the video gained millions of views.

The star got in touch with Rosie and her mum, inviting them to come to the USA. They had been to meet in New York but a change of plan saw the Scots invited to Los Angeles instead.

They flew from Edinburgh to LAX, via Amsterdam, and were picked up before being taken to the Marriott Hotel.

Highlights of the trip included going out for breakfast with Jax, going shopping and spending time in the recording studio with the star, who finished third on the 14th season of American Idol.

They also visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame and toured around Beverly Hills, made TikTok videos together and were spoiled with tasty treats, including $200 of sweets.

Jax also bought presents for Rosie to take home to little sister, Darcy.

Rosie said: “It was just amazing. I was buzzing about the whole thing. Jax’s house was so cool, with balconies and a hot tub in the garden.

“The days before the trip seemed to be so long then the actual thing went by in a flash – I was really sad to be leaving.”

Proud mum, Kimberley, admitted it had been a whirlwind few weeks. She said: “It’s hard to believe it actually happened, to be honest.

“To think this all started out of Rosie singing a wee song at her summer camp is just amazing. She hadn’t been coached on the song or anything, she just wanted to sing it. I’m so proud of her for everything she’s doing.

“Jax is a really genuine person and cared for Rosie and Macie throughout their trip. Rosie was made to feel so special; it was a ‘pinch me’ experience, no doubt.”

The Reporter understands Jax plans to keep in touch with Rosie and her family, and will meet up if she is touring in the UK.
