A family-friendly event is to be held at Geilston Garden next weekend to celebrate the apple harvest and the wildlife which supports the garden.
John Hancox, the Apple Man, will be back to squeeze lots of fresh apple juice and entertain with his knowledge of the fruit.
There will be a range of organisations to provide insights into how we can protect and promote the wildlife in both Geilston Garden and personal gardens.
Visitors will have the chance to find out about birds, bees, butterflies, and hedgehogs.
They will also be able to complete the wildlife treasure trail through the woodland and create their own natural prize to take home, as well as following the apple trail through the orchard and walled garden.
Hot soup and bread will be available, donated by The Ginger Breadman in Helensburgh.
The event will be held on Sunday, October 2 from 12pm-4pm.
Garden entry fees apply for non-members – see the National Trust for Scotland website for details. There will be no further charge for activities in the garden.
