Residents in Balloch were able to meet the stars of popular TV series Still Game on Wednesday.

Fans of Jack and Victor, played by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, were out in force in at the Co-op supermarket in Carrochan Road, all eager to catch a glimpse and get a bottle of their favourite tipple signed.

The duo have launched a Jack and Victor Blended Scotch Whisky and Still Gin, created at the nearby Loch Lomond Distillery - a fitting tribute to their characters, who could be found regularly at their favourite pub, The Clansman.

And their Balloch visit may have stirred up another treasured memory for fans of the show - since the much-loved characters' final scene saw the pair heading up nearby Ben Lomond before fading away in an emotional finale first screened in October 2019.

It is estimated that hundreds of people were waiting for up to an hour to meet the funny duo at the store on Wednesday.

Speaking of the signing one resident said: "It was a great experience to meet them. I would say it is worth the money for a bottle.

"They were true gentlemen and nothing comes close to that."
