Young people in Dumbarton and the Vale are being offered the chance to have their say on a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) panel.

The services’s public participation panel is looking to recruit a youth volunteer.

The role is suitable for someone aged 16 or over, who is happy to contribute to consultations and provide their perspective on proposals impacting services.

As well as gaining skills and experience, the volunteer will also receive an annual gratuity of £150 for attending meetings.

Meetings will usually be held online, but there may be occasions for the group to meet in person. In this case, travel expenses will be reimbursed.

No prior or specialist knowledge of SFRS is required. Those interested are asked to fill in the enquiry which can be found here.
