People in Dumbarton and the Vale are invited to take part in a charity boat race in Loch Lomond.

Cerebral Palsy Scotland will be taking to the shore of Loch Lomond for their 20th annual Dragon Boat race day.

Sponsored by Allied Mobility, Dragon Boat racing is a competition with loads of fun and no experience is needed to take part.

The event at Balloch Country Park is an ideal day out for local companies in Dumbarton and the Vale or groups of friends at beautiful Loch Lomond.

And friends and family of the crew are welcome to come along to support their teams.

One Dragon boat can take up to 16 paddlers plus a drummer, with a minimum of 12 paddlers plus a drummer per boat.

However, if a team doesn't have 12 willing participants then a boat can be shared with another team or take the half boat option for 6-8 people plus one drummer.

Each team will race multiple times but only one will come out on top.

For more information or to register for the event email GetInvolved@cpscot.org.uk or visit the Cerebal Palsy website here.
