A woman called police "useless f***ers" after she reported her partner missing - despite him being at the house when they arrived.

Nicole McGregor contacted the police on April 4 this year for assistance to find her partner.

When police arrived at her home on Colquhoun Drive in Alexandria the door was answered by a man and she was upstairs.

The pair were heavily intoxicated and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

McGregor stormed out to the top of the stairs and repeatedly shouted "you f***ing happy now".

The 26-year-old was warned by officers about her conduct towards them.

She ran down the stairs and shouted "I am f***ing coming down and you will see it".

She then banged on a table in the living, shouting "what the f*** is it".

The police asked her why she called them and she replied: "To find him you useless f***ers".

When McGregor appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court this week for sentencing it was heard that her solicitor Scott Adair was not in attendance as he was on holiday.

She pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner after repeatedly shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence.

Sheriff Lindsey Kooner deferred the case until next month for the preparation of the criminal justice social work report.

The sheriff added: "No doubt that Mr Adair has represented you in the past and he would be more than willing to represent you again once he is back from his vacation."
