AS the temperature drops various community hubs across Dumbarton have opened their doors to provide warm spaces.

The venues will offer residents warm drinks/meals or just somewhere to spend quiet time.

Warm spaces open this winter

Dumbarton Library 

Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter: The library, located in Strathleven Place, is open every day except Sunday.

It provides a quiet, warm space for the community and offers wifi and computer access.

Residents are urged to check opening times before heading along.

Ben View Centre - Warm and Toasty Breakfast Club 

The breakfast club, also located in Strathleven Place, will be offering a free hot drink, breakfast and blether between 9.15am and 11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Phoenix Centre - Community Cafe and Breakfast Club 

Those heading along to the Quarry Knowe hub will be able to enjoy hot rolls, cereals, and drinks.

The cafe operates on a donation-based system where attendees can pay what they can.

It is open between 8am and 10.30am on Tuesdays.

St Augustine's Church Hall - Food For Thought and Community Soup 

Free soup, sandwiches and chat will be on offer at the High Street church between 11.30am and 2pm on Wednesdays.

Lennox Evangelical Church - Soup Spot

Soup Spot, which is located at the church on Risk Street, will be providing free soup and chat between 12pm and 1.30pm on Tuesdays.

Tullochan - Community Social Hub

Those interested in heading along to the hub on Poplar Road will be able to enjoy free soup, hot drinks, and snacks as well as TV and wifi access.

The team at the hub will also be offering attendees the opportunity to get support with employability and job searching.

This is aimed at people aged 25+ and will be available between 10am and 12pm on Thursdays.
