A MAN has been arrested following an alleged robbery in Alexandria.
The incident is reported to have taken place on Colquhoun Drive near Heather Avenue at around 7.15pm on Tuesday, February 13.
Officers said that a 73-year-old man was allegedly punched to the ground and had his wallet and its contents stolen.
Following a search warrant executed at an address in the town on Friday, February 16 police confirmed a 26-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection.
He is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, February 19.
Detective Constable Calum Hall said: "I would like to thank the public for their assistance with our enquiries into this incident."
