A woman who lashed out at police said she wants the crime to be the last time she appears in a courtroom.

Nicole Cameron, of Graham Avenue, Clydebank, was sentenced at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on February 27 over an incident now more than 18 months ago.

The 27-year-old previously pleaded guilty that at her former home in Carmona Drive, Haldane, Alexandria, she shouted, swore and acted in an aggressive manner on July 15, 2022.

She also attempted to headbutt an officer and kicked another on the leg.

The court was told that police attended the address in Alexandria at the time and said they required entry. Cameron appeared to be intoxicated.

She immediately became abusive to officers and said, "Get the f*** out of my house", "F*** off out of my gaff" and "Who the f*** do yous think you all are?"

Officers warned her about her behaviour repeatedly, the court heard. But she continued to act in this manner and was arrested.

While being restrained, she kept being abusive and said "I'm going to bite your nose off and spit on you."

She tried to headbutt one officer and was taken to the ground where she kicked her legs and struck another in the leg.

When charged at Clydebank police office, she said in reply to the kick that: "He stood on my toe first."

The woman's defence solicitor said: "She appreciated this behaviour is entirely unacceptable. She was struggling with addiction issues."

Cameron was described as having had a medical issue which gave her "quite the fright" and she had stopped her recreational drug use.

"She intends this to be the only time she appears before this court," added the lawyer. "She apologises to the court."

Sheriff Frances McCartney imposed a community payback order with 18 months of social work supervision.

Cameron must do 160 hours of unpaid work in the community and must take part in any drug and mental health counselling as directed. She must also attend an employability course.

The sheriff added: "I hope this is the last time you appear before the court."

There will be a review of her progress in six months.
