A Scottish homebuilder is urging organisations to apply for its Community Fund to aid initiatives in Dumbarton.

Miller Homes's £10,000 fund is aimed at benefiting communities in need near its Garshake Gardens development.

It will provide financial assistance to groups linked with education, wellbeing, environmental support and sport participation across the firm's 16 Scottish sites.

From its launch in 2022, the scheme has already distributed £60,000 among 92 Scottish groups who required a boost.

Louise Caldwell, sales director for Miller Homes Scotland West, said: "Our Community Fund initiative provides support at the early stage of starting a local project or groups in need of funding with the opportunity to receive support.

"We urge groups of all backgrounds to get in touch and tell us what they want to achieve through their application form.

"Our Community Fund Ambassadors will then review the applications to select the projects which will receive an award."

This is the first round of funding for the year, with a second round taking place in the latter half of the year.

Each of the builder's 10 regional offices throughout the UK operates its own annual £10,000 fund to support community initiatives.

Application submissions for the Community Fund will close on April 24.

Grants will range between a minimum of £250 and a maximum of £2,000.

Successful applicants will be notified in May.
