A planning application has been submitted to Renfrewshire Council which proposes installing a prescription collection machine outside a town centre pharmacy.
The proposal has been put forward Amiry & Gilbride Healthcare Ltd for their premises at 10 High Street in Paisley which is currently home to Amiry & Gilbride Pharmacy & Travel Clinic.
If passed it would see the left side of the main shopfront replaced to accommodate a Medpoint machine which is said to have a “similar footprint and concept to that of an ATM machine”.
Those behind the proposal state that the installation of this collection service with 24-hour access would reduce waiting times and congestion in the pharmacy.
The proposal, which has not yet been decided on by planners, was received by the council on February 23 and validated on April 3.
