McDonald's has teased works to refurbish the restaurant after it closed late last month.

The fast food joint located on Glasgow Road closed on August 20 to undertake renovation works.

The store is set to reopen over a month later on October 1.

Store operator Marc Shenken has said the works will improve the customer experience by completely redesigning the dining area and more updates will be given soon.

Customers who are missing the popular establishment are being redirected to their Balloch restaurant on Old Luss Road in Alexandria.

McDonald’s Franchisee, Marc Shenken, said: “McDonald’s is always looking into ways to improve the customer experience and the investment in the Dumbarton restaurant is a key part of that commitment.

"The restaurant will feature a completely redesigned dining area, along with several other updates that I’m confident our customers will find well worth the wait.

"We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time and look forward to welcoming you back next month. In the meantime, customers can visit our nearby Balloch restaurant while Dumbarton is temporarily closed.”
