A new 1km cycling trail is set to be built at Balloch Country Park.
The community project has received a £224,022 boost from West Dunbartonshire Council.
The total cost of the project is estimated to be £344,651.
The trail, predominately a blue-grade intermediate trail, will have optional elements for more advanced riders.
It will be open to all, from families to experienced cyclists.
The track will also serve as a base for a new community cycling club, which will host coaching sessions and local events.
Councillor David McBride, convener of infrastructure, regeneration and economic development, said: "I am delighted that West Dunbartonshire Council has successfully applied for funding for this exciting project.
"The track will enhance the local area, attracting riders of all ages and abilities.
"It also opens up the real possibility that major events could take place here in future which is a thrilling prospect."
The Cycling Facilities Fund (CFF), which has invested in the project, was set up to develop a network of accessible facilities to encourage people of all ages to ride bikes and enjoy the sport.
This initiative was part of the wider policy objectives following the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.
Maree Todd, Sports Minister, said: "One year on from the 2023 UCI World Championships, communities across Scotland are continuing to benefit from the active legacy created by the Cycling Facilities Fund.
"Accessible facilities are vital to ensuring more people across Scotland are given the opportunity to experience the 'power of the bike' and enjoy the many benefits to their physical, social and mental wellbeing that come with cycling."
The track in Balloch is one of five recent projects to receive funding, bringing the total number of facilities funded through the CFF to 45.
When contributions from local partners are included, the fund has invested more than £13 million in cycling infrastructure so far.
