Art enthusiasts will soon have the chance to create their own Van Gogh-inspired watercolours in an upcoming workshop.

Watercolours with Vincent: a Van Gogh-inspired landscape class will take place at Alexandria Library. The two-hour session will be held on Saturday, January 17, starting at 10.15am.

The workshop will be run by celebrated landscape artist Libby Walker, offering a hands-on exploration of Van Gogh’s techniques.

Libby a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, has a rich 15-year career as an artist and illustrator.

Her work is deeply influenced by the city of Glasgow and the Scottish landscape.

For a fee of £12, which covers all necessary materials, Libby will help attendees delve into the legendary painter’s use of colour and distinctive mark-making style.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own reference photos or choose from a selection provided.

The class is open to both seasoned artists and absolute beginners, and can be booked online via Eventbrite.
