A flawless passport photo is often a top priority for travellers keen to look their best.
Travel documents only require a renewed photo every ten years, so many want a picture they can be happy with year after year.
TikTok influencer Georgia Barratt shared a step-by-step guide to achieving a polished, camera-ready appearance.
Her first tip is to groom the eyebrows using gel for a fuller, lifted shape, helping to frame the face.
Ms Barratt said: "I use a lighter concealer to help carve out my brows to give that lifting effect."
Next, she recommends starting with skincare, applying a hydrating primer for a glowing base, followed by a full-coverage foundation combination, before using a lighter concealer to help carve out the brows.
'Over-the-top' contouring above the temples, high points of your cheeks, nose, chin and jaw line adds dimension, highlighting natural structure with light and shadow.
While a fresh look is the aim, photo experts at Max Spielmann urge caution.
A Max Spielmann spokesperson said: "Make sure your make-up is as natural as possible, and definitely don't use it to cover up any distinctive marks.
"You might be tempted to get all glammed up, but the most important thing is that your passport photo looks like you.
"Basically, this means you shouldn't do anything dramatic, and instead go for a more neutral look that enhances your features."
Georgia finishes her look by highlighting and brightening the face with concealer between the eyebrows and at the corners of the eyes.
She uses pink blush on the upper cheekbones and sets the makeup with baking powder to ensure the makeup doesn't budge.
Mascara is focused on the outer corners of her eyes to help elongate her lashes and open the eyes.
Subtly overlining your lips and a glossy lip product will ensure your mouth pops in the passport photo.
While these tips can help make the most of a passport photo, the beauty is in keeping things simple and authentic to ensure the image remains a true and recognisable representation.
