It’s the season of goodwill and many of us have been looking forward to spending it with family and loved ones.

Everyone will want to take extra care of themselves and their families over the festive period to avoid remembering it for the wrong reasons.

The guidance across the country allows up to three households to form a bubble, but the message has been clear that we should keep it small, keep it short and keep it safe.

We can enjoy the festivities, relax, visit family and socialise but please think ahead to keep yourself and others safe.

Looking to 2021, life, we hope, will be getting back to the more familiar normal.

I personally hope the heart-warmingly inspirational stories of all the people who went way beyond the simple “be kind” motto continue to be the start of a stronger, better and more positive community spirit.

I would like to wish you and your loved ones the very best for the New Year ahead.
